FirstRate5® house energy rating software

FirstRate5® is an easy-to-use interactive tool with a graphic user interface that enables designers and thermal performance assessors to generate energy ratings for a home by tracing over floor plans. The software integrates the AccuRate calculation engine to estimate the annual heating and cooling energy and can be used to rate an existing design or as an interactive tool to optimise the design beyond compliance.

FirstRate5 v5.1.11c update now available

FirstRate5 v5.1.11c is now available as a free download from www.fr5.com.au.

Version 5.1.11c is a minor release containing a number of bug fixes which will improve the useability of the software. For details, users should refer to the v5.1.11c release notes which will be installed with the software on their computer. Once downloaded, FirstRate5 v5.1.11c will overwrite v5.1.11b on users’ computers.*

We recommend that users download and use the latest version for all new files and for files in progress.

* Note: minor releases involving a letter change, eg,  v5.1.11b to v5.1.11c, will overwrite the previous version, while major releases involving a number change, eg, v5.1.10 to v5.1.11, will install beside older versions.
