FirstRate5® house energy rating software

FirstRate5® is an easy-to-use interactive tool with a graphic user interface that enables designers and thermal performance assessors to generate energy ratings for a home by tracing over floor plans. The software integrates the AccuRate calculation engine to estimate the annual heating and cooling energy and can be used to rate an existing design or as an interactive tool to optimise the design beyond compliance.

Changes to FirstRate5 Technical Support

After two years in the FirstRate5 (FR5) technical support hot seat, Prem is taking up a six month secondment working on distributed energy generation policy. Fortunately Matthew Graham has kindly made himself available to take on the technical support role.

Matthew starts today and will be working remotely. This means that there are no technical support services available in the Sustainability Victoria (SV) offices. While we have always asked users to email first, rather than calling SV, this is now imperative as we cannot answer phone enquiries from the office. If you need to discuss your issue, Matthew will be able to call you back, so please remember to include your phone number in your email.

Matthew is a very experienced FR5 user and an expert thermal performance assessor. SV are very pleased to be able to offer his services to our users. Please make Matthew welcome when you submit your technical support questions.
