It has come to Sustainability Victoria attention that some assessors are experiencing problems with custom windows when upgrading project files completed in previous versions of the software to FirstRate5 v5.2.4 (3.1.3). The latest version of software is not recognising some custom windows and assessors are having to manually respecify windows after opening existing project files in FirstRate5 v5.2.4 (3.13).

Sustainability Victoria is currently rectifying the problem and a bug fix version will be released in the coming days.

If assessors find that FirstRate5 v5.2.4 (3.13) generates a ‘Missing window types’ error message when it opens a project file created in an earlier version of the software, Sustainability Victoria recommends that assessors continue to use the version of the software that the project file was originally created in until the bug fix version is released.

The problem has been caused by minor changes made to a range of window manufactures’ names in the AFRC Custom Windows library supplied to Sustainability Victoria. These changes have impacted upon the unique identifier FirstRate5 creates for each custom and has resulted in FirstRate5 v5.2.4 (3.13) being unable to recognise some custom windows specified in previous versions of the software.
