FirstRate5 v5.5.5a (3.22) is now available as a free download from www.fr5.com.au. Sustainability Victoria (SV) recommends that all users upgrade to this version as soon as possible.
FR5 v5.5.5a (3.22) contains five bug fixes.
- Fixed the issue of the area corrected energy result not being rounded to one decimal place before the star rating was calculated. This rounding difference was resulting in the incorrect star rating being calculated in edge cases.
- Fixed the issue of the 'Lock Base to Ground' feature for screens ceasing to work once the dwelling's 'Floor height above ground level' exceeded 100m.
- Fixed the issue of FirstRate5 (FR5) unexpectedly closing and requiring the user to re-enter user credentials when the FR5 website is offline.
- Fixed the issue of 'Snappable Points' having a fixed size at all resolution levels and not dynamically scaling based on zoom level.
- Fixed the issue of the Auto Scaling feature in the PDF background loader applying the incorrect scaling when the PDF being imported is not set to an ISO International Paper Size Standard. In this scenario, the Auto Scaling feature was stretching/shrinking the imported background page along either the x or y-axis and creating the incorrect scale on the impacted axis. The Auto Scaling feature will now be disabled in FR5 if the PDF is not set to an ISO International Paper Size Standard. If you use the Auto Scaling feature, it is recommended that you still check dimensions on both the x and y-axis to confirm the scale is correct before starting an assessment.
Both v5.5.5 (3.22) and v5.5.5a (3.22) files uploaded to the FirstRate5 website will automatically calculate using v5.5.5a (3.22) calculation package.

Note: It is the user’s responsibility to ensure certificates are produced with the appropriate version. If a user chooses to inappropriately use an earlier version of FR5 to produce a certificate, they run the risk that a Building Surveyor will reject the certificate leading to further certificate costs.
Note: Installation of minor releases involving a letter change, eg, v5.2.10a to v5.2.10b, will by default overwrite the previous version, while major releases involving a number change, eg, v5.2.11 (3.13) to v5.3.0 (3.21), will by default install beside older versions.
