FirstRate5® house energy rating software

FirstRate5® is an easy-to-use interactive tool with a graphic user interface that enables designers and thermal performance assessors to generate energy ratings for a home by tracing over floor plans. The software integrates the AccuRate calculation engine to estimate the annual heating and cooling energy and can be used to rate an existing design or as an interactive tool to optimise the design beyond compliance.

  • 2014/15 FirstRate5 Data Report Released

    Sustainability Victoria (SV) is pleased to release the FirstRate5 data analysis report. The report presents the results of an analysis of Home Energy Ratings certified for the 2014/15 financial year and will form the baseline for future reports. The analysis approach is based on questions developed by SV following discussion with industry and government in Victoria.

  • BDAV Webinar – Understanding the FirstRate5 User Manual

    On 8 August 2016 the Building Designers Association of Victoria (BDAV) is presenting a webinar on the latest version of the FirstRate 5 manual, which may be of interest to FirstRate5 users. Well-known industry identity, Tony Isaacs, will explain how the manual is laid out; where to look for things; and will run through some of the 'trickier' contents in the manual. This webinar will be useful for all users of FirstRate5, including users already familiar with the manual.
